In times of difficulty, it is the strength of our community that allows us to weather the storm. This week, we experienced a major setback in our collective fight for climate justice—one with profound repercussions for the health, well-being, and livelihoods of Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color, as well as marginalized groups across our country. This moment is a painful one for climate, equity, and justice advocates. We are deeply disappointed by the implications for our shared future.
But now is not the time to lose hope. Instead, it’s a moment to double down on our commitment to climate and social advocacy.
At The People's Justice Council ™ , we stand firm in our mission to amplify the voices of those who are underrepresented and underserved. Our commitment does not waver, because the environmental injustices these communities face remain unchanged. We will continue to provide tools, resources, and support to build power from the grassroots up, pushing for policy change that centers justice and care. This work is not just a mission; it is our ministry.
We will overcome because our fight is just!
We are inviting you to a webinar where we’ll join with like-minded individuals who share our commitment to environmental justice. Together, we’ll explore ways to move forward, strategize, and empower our communities to advocate for change.
This webinar is being held during the first week of the UN Climate Negotiations, taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan (known as COP29) and in solidarity with the Global Day of Action for Climate Justice.
During this webinar we will review the published vision for a U.S. NDC aligned with science and justice that over 50+ climate action groups and frontline community leaders have already endorsed.
