WERiSE Workshop in Mobile a Big Success!

On June 24th & 25th, the Gulf Coast Creation Care hosted their third WERiSE Home Energy Renovation (HER) Workshop* in Mobile – and they did a great job! HER Workshops teach home owners and facility managers how to save money on energy bills with simple air-sealing techniques – mostly caulk and foam.

    The participants included several Community Health Care Workers who were very receptive of learning of the improvements to Indoor Air Quality that come with improving home energy efficiency ... and of course there's the reduced energy bills that can help pay for other repairs or upgrades.

    One of the health care workers brought her husband, a retiring tradesman, who recognized the job potential to the WERiSE Training, and inquired about further training. WERiSE not only provides additional training, but has some funds to compensate approved Trainees for their time spent training.

   Also participating in the WERiSE Workshop was the director of Rebuilding Together

who vowed to add the WERiSE Training to their work with revitalizing communities in south Alabama. That's music to our ears because our mission is to support Home Energy Renovation programs all over the South East.
